About Us
Established in 2010 by a group of volunteers, RAK AWC has quickly grown to be the premier provider of animal services in the UAE. Based in the beautiful Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, RAK AWC is set on an exclusive plot of 22,000 square meters which includes indoor air conditions cattery and kennels, a fully equipped vet clinic and the largest open-air dog park in the UAE
RAK AWC specialising in animal adoption services and is active in the community with a series of education programmes aimed at school children to educate on animal welfare and responsible pet ownership. We typically find forever homes for over 500 animals per year
The staff at RAK AWC are passionate about gaining rights for animals and actively participate in giving a voice to the voiceless
What we do
Because we really care about all animals
- Running a proactive adoption programme that finds suitable homes for as many abandoned dogs and cats as possible
- Actively run community-wide Trap Neuter and Release (TNR) programmes across the Emirate
- Providing medical treatment for injured animals, both stray and pets
- Promoting responsibility in pet ownership, which includes advice on spaying, neutering, vaccination, microchipping and registering animals.
- Educating the public about the Animal Welfare Law and animal rights
